La Grave 2011

Some La Grave headcam footage from 2011 - watch out for lots of classics: La Vault, Orciere, Pan de Rideau, Freaux, and see if you spot Jonny (just about) staying on his feet while getting sluffed twice in the Trifides. Footage and editing by CroftEleven.co.uk. Grab yourself a Free SkiMountain t-shirt by using our forum at www.SkiMountain.co.uk. La Grave - we will return with more cameras, better light, and better snow!

Pic de la Grave

A short outing felt like hard work up at 3,600m Pic de la Grave

- to the left of the top lift at La Grave in France sits the Pic de la Grave - a steep snow slope climb requiring an awkward step up over the bergschrund and a fairly short pitch of steep and exposed feeling bootpack leads to the col and the summit ridge.

Nevis Range Conditions Blog

So...it's been mixed for the first week of the 2008/2009 season at Nevis Range weather-wise and today (Sat 24th) was no exception.  Got up to the carpark early doors for the 9am lift.  Lots of folk already there and queuing for tickets.  Skipped straight to the gondola - three cheers for season passes!
