Something a little bit different...
Backround: Blossom are a small, independant ski firm located in Lombardy, Italy which was started in 1999 by Luciano Panetti (former trainer of the Italian ski team Valange Azurre) and Franco Moro...
This year I bought a pair of 180 Flere (I'm about 178 and weigh about 60kg) from the Race Carve collection and I was really really really happy!
The ski is slightly softer than racing than racing skis (but not much!) and took me a couple of days to get used to but once the formula is found they run like the clappers!
A complicated ski, that requieres the skier to really stay on top of them, they will shoot off on their own accord if they are not given your full attention, however if treated with the deserved respect they turn beautifully on well groomed pistes, extremely stable with minimal vibration even at very high speed.
If you own a pair of powder skis and are a worrying about a lack of powder pushing you back to the pistes I would highly recommend these bad boys as the perfect compliment!

Re: Blossom Flere
Posted Wed, 01/11/2012 - 17:13They look like super nice skis (I've never even heard of Blossom before!) I've only got a pair of fatties at the moment which are great when its deep but hardly inspiring when it comes to ice or solid groomers. Definitely feeling the need for some tight carving turns after reading about the Flere's... Have you tried or seen any of the other Blossom skis? Quite like the look of the Offshore's though i wonder if they do a better job at the race/carving end of the line?

Posted Wed, 01/11/2012 - 23:08I know exactly what you mean and thats what pushed me to get a pair of evil carvers!
I havn't tried any other skis by Blossom and I only know people who have tried the Race Carve or the Race series...I'm sure they do a great job on all mountain/powder, but from what I've heard their sweet spot is piste skis and I've only heard good things!

Posted Tue, 01/17/2012 - 20:25Mmmmm... evil carvers!! I want some! Though last time I had two pairs of skis I ended up getting stressed about which ones I should take on a particular day... How do they compare to say a pair of salomon slalom skis? More fun I'm guessing! I'm jealous...
