So, finally the season has started properly at Nevis Range!!!

Nevis Range opened on Monday but I couldn't get up till this morning (Wednesday).  I heard it was good om Monday but mosly winded off on Tues.    Snow cover is better than it looks from the approach road and bottom car park.  Beautiful and sunny today and most of the hill is open and almost all tows are running.  Warrens and Rob Roy are off but there is plenty elsewhere and good tracks to be had in the natural half pipe in the goose.  A few local boarders were having a wicked time!

All the lower beginners slopes have decent snow cover and Linnhe and Alpha tows are running.  So that's it.  The official start of the 2008/2009 season.  More snow is forecast up till Saturday (see Scottish Ski Conditions) so fingers crossed it doesn't get too windy or warm anytime soon....
