Introduction

Batea Mahuida is not a resort as such but more of a community snowpark.  Nordic skiing, alpine skiing and snowboarding can be practiced at the park but there are not any formal pistes, trails or equipment hire.  It is more focused on family and children snowplay and is located around 370km from the province capital - Neuquén.

Facilities and Services

As well as snowplay areas for children, the areas offers snowmobile rides or snowshoeing in the surrounding monkey puzzle forests.  There is a small coffee-shop and the closest accommodation is in Villa Pehuenia and Aluminé, close to the park.

The season at Batea Mahuida is roughly June to October.

Travel

From Neuquen you can drive to Batea Mahuida on National Route 22 and Provincial Routes 13 and 46.
