Cerro Catedral (also known as Cran Catedral) literally means Mount Cathedral and the resort is actually spread across 3 peaks making it the second most extensive ski and boarding resort in South America. It is located just less than 20km west of the town of San Carlos de Bariloche.
At 1,030m the resort is actually quite low which can effect snow althought the higher runs and terrain usually get reliable cover. The official season runs from June 18 to October 10.

The resort offers the usual services; ski hire etc but is expensive, especially for accommodation. If you don't mind the drive it is cheaper to stay in Bariloche. For the non-skier or boarder there is also sledding, paragliding, hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking.
Finally, if the snow fails, the resort has a snow making system which covers around 10ha. There are ongoing development plans for the resort which include new lifts and pistes.
Travel
From Bariloche you can drive along Bustillo Avenue for about 8km until you reach the resort parking.
