Coronet Peak is situated within half an hours drive of Queenstown and with evening skiing on Friday and Saturday nights this can be a cool place to both start a party and recuperate the day after!  For 2008 there has been a major transformation of the base of Coronet Peak plus their snowmaking capacity has now been tripled ensuring (hopefully) great snow for a long time to come.

Coronet Peak has three chairs, a t-bar, 2 surface conveyor lifts and a beginners handle tow.  There’s a good terrain park and some good long runs for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. 

Better skiers and boarders may well want to go and check out the Remarkables instead, plus since the Remarkables are a bit higher than Coronet Peak and often less busy they can stay less 'scraped' for longer!
