Ahhh, Fernie... situated on the Powder Highway, and reknowned for getting bucketloads of snow! Fernie is a great resort, without any doubt one of the Ski Mountain favourites. Its got a great lift system, fantastic backcountry terrain, and really well cared for pistes. I really like resorts that you can have a great time at even when the snow isn't great, and Fernie fits that criteria. When Fernie gets a good dump of snow (and thats a pretty regular occurence by all accounts) the skiing on offer has to be some of the best around. There are multiple lift accessed powder bowls with plenty of steep chutes and features, and if you get bored in-bounds you have a pretty much endless list of bowls which can be accessed with relatively short hikes or skins.

And at Fernie, if the snowfall hasn't been so great there are the terrain parks to keep you entertained.
