Introduction
Mount St Gwinear is another small resort, similar to Lake Mountain, Mount Stirling and Dinner-Plain which is focused on cross country skiing rather than downhill. There are around 70kms of well marked trails but very little else within the actual resort. The closest towns are Rawson and Erica (approx. 25km away).

Facilities and Services
There is no on mountain accommodation but places to stay can be found in Walhalla or Rawson Village. There are no lifts, so no lift ticket fee just $10 (AUD) for gate entry for a car. In addition to cross country trails, Mount St Gwinear offers toboganning.
Travel
The resort is about 190km east of Melbourne, following the M1 to Moe and C466 to Erica. The last chance for chains and equipment hire is in Erica afterwhich there are 11 km of unsealed road, but the going is reasonable easy. Public transport does operate to the resort from the Latrobe Valley (Moe, Morwell and Traralgon).
