Introduction

Oxbow is another tiny skiing venue in Lesotho, very close to Club Maluti and a similar size.   Having skiing in South Africa at all is pretty remarkable and the main attraction to Oxbow is for the sheer novelty and experience.

Facilities and Services

There is one lift, usally operated by students and one run - a good blue run 700m in length. Even when the lift is closed it may be possible to get a ride up to the top of the slope of a 4x4!  The snow conditions can be great but they are very unpredictable and the weather changable.

The season runs from June to August and there is a lodge where you can hire ski equipment. Oxbow can't guarantee snow so has a range of other activities to keep you amused e.g. hiking, fishing and climbing.
