The Remarkables ski area is one of the two main Queenstown resorts (Coronet Peak being the other) - there are two lift accessed bowls with a third offering rewards for those with the energy!  The Remarkables mountain range overlooks Queenstown and offers some amazing climbing, skiing, and touring.  A short walk from the Shadow Basin Chair delivers access into the chutes’ amazing big mountain terrain, while the Remarkables Homeward runs can give some great powder stashes down to the access road where you can catch the shuttle bus back up.

For 2008, Burton have sponsored a big back-country based terrain park tagged “The Stash” project.  Put alongside the 150m FIS specification Parklife Superpipe, FruJu Beginner Park and UP & GO Terrain Park, The Remarkables is now pretty appealing to those who love air!

The learners area is now even better and is all to close to the café and sun deck for those tempted by regular Milo breaks!

The Remarbles ski season runs from 21 June till 12 October and if you like your nightlife too, then Queenstown has it all.
