Introduction

Vallecitos is a small ski resort located in the Menodza region within the Andean foothills of the Cordon del Plata (the Silver Range).  Vallecitos usually gets a good amount of snow and it is generally a locals destination for learning to ski or daytrips.  The ski season runs roughly June to September.

Facilities and Services

There are some 250 acres of skiable terrain but the resort also has some great off-piste skiing for skiers and boarders of good ability. There are 12 formal pistes catering for all levels and abilities.  These runs are services by seven lifts.

Vallecitos has limited accommodation, the Hosteria Cerro Nevado and at the Refuge Ski and Mountain Hostel Inn.  The next best option for accommodation and equipment hire is Portrerillos, 11km away.

Travel

Vallecitos is about 25km from the town Potrerillos, which is 60km from Mendoza.  The easiest way to get to the resort from abroad is a flight to Buenos Aires and then a connection to Mendoza.  From their it is a short bus journey to Vallecitos.
