So... the big question.  Are Salomon releasing a new touring binding this year or is it all rumours? And when it does come out what will they be like... and will they be called The Quest?

I can't see them on the 2012 salomon kit previews but I reckon there's one coming.  The Quest boot is pretty heavy though compared to Scarpa/Black diamond though so i'd expect something which is more of a Duke competitor than an alternative to dynafits!

Maybe next year.  Although i'm sure I saw a photo of some being tested somewhere!

Also wonder what Fritschi will bring out - they seem to be loosing a lot of ground to Marker at the moment and will need to do something stronger/stiffer. Could be an exciting year in touring bindings.

Since the dynafit patent ran out a couple of years ago there seem to be more and more dynafit clones coming out, so I'd be amazed if these didn't get way more popular.  Its only a matter of time before someone comes out with a conventional binding that weighs the same as some TLT's....

Salomon should make an adapter for their alpine bindings... that would be the simplest, easiest, and most popular.  No idea why they don't do it!
