So, what is your off season choice of training? Apart from going and doing the season in NZ or the southern hemisphere!
Found this on line. Ski simulator - looks fun, shame about the price. So is there any other option than biking, squats and lunges???

Seriously. what do folk do for skiing specific training (other than skiing). I've just had another day of thigh burn and we're well into the season so I'm thinking my off season training needs to be better! Suggestions for things more fun than just going to the gym if possible......

Posted Tue, 02/14/2012 - 08:48I'm sure you're right Brian. However, I should probably iron out some apline skiing technique issues before I introduce a whole new discipline to be shit at! Wish there was a snowless equivalent to skinning up a hill as that is usually pretty good training (and no, the cross trainer in the gym doesn't qualify IMO).

Posted Tue, 02/14/2012 - 11:28You know the guys that train cross country skiing on dry ground with the wee wheels on skis, how about using one way bearing in the wheels and make them a bit chunkier for off roading :D
