Worst Skiing Falls

So - a bit of light hearted entertainment for everyone at the expense of those of us who have had the biggest, scariest bails!

My own personal worst ski fall experience was at the start of the season and didn't actually involve skiing - it involved getting out of the bath and falling (naked) all the way down a big flight of wooden steps and hitting the concrete wall at the bottom.  Fortunately there is no photo evidence, only the Fear that creaps into my mind every time I'm standing at the top of said staircase.

Anyone else want to share some big wipeout experiences?

My worst ski fall was when I tried out a pair of snow-blades and tried taking them into some fresh powder - they sank in and quickly flipped me forwards, and I flew superman style over a small ridge.

 

I landed head first and the inertia of my ski boots meant my feet kept going, arching my back so much I could feel my ribs touch.

 

The powder filled my goggles and my body was so buried I could not move, I thought I was dead. Some kind skier dug me out and I limped home, didn't ski the rest of the holiday but atleast nothing was broken!
